Student-founded | Based in Marin | Eco-Friendly | Sustainable by Design
Pure was founded by four juniors in the Marin School of Environmental Leadership (MSEL) at Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, California.
In MSEL, we don’t just study sustainability; we apply it to the real world. The program combines environmental science, leadership, and entrepreneurship, challenging students to design real eco-friendly businesses that address environmental and social issues. As part of our junior year, we develop full business plans, and a select few are chosen to become real, student-run companies. Pure is one of those businesses.
Created by Evie Noyes and built alongside Sean Jenkins, Tanner Kosiek, and Connor Williams, Pure began with a simple idea: everyday essentials should feel elevated. Hand sanitizer is something people use constantly, yet most options rely on plastic packaging and harsh ingredients. We saw an opportunity to reimagine it.
Pure is a luxury, eco-friendly hand sanitizer crafted with both people and the planet in mind. Our formula uses ethanol, a safer and more skin-friendly ingredient, and is housed in reusable glass packaging to reduce single-use plastic waste. We believe sustainability should never require sacrificing quality, design, or experience. Clean can be refined and beautiful.
When you choose Pure, you’re choosing sustainability, equity, and student-led change.
